9-Bede's World Men's Shed

Bede's World closes it's doors Friday 12. 02. 2016

I am still in shock at locking the gates of Bede's World for the last time on Friday.

I had cut the aft hood end of the starboard 3rd plank then at 11pm I heard that Bede's World limited would cease to exist at 5pm!

It was quite a stressful day of sorting out kit and getting off-site before the handover.

The local news is reporting that South Tyneside Council who have plans to re-purpose the site, hopefully re-opening at some point in the near future.

A heron flew over as we were leaving the site, the most patient of birds, i think the heron was a good omen.
