As the weather starts to turn colder, the leaves turn brown and fall to the ground.

The creative output of our shedders moves indoors and the number of cups of tea increases.

Tommy has already created his mandolin templates and drawn around the templates onto some pieces of mahogany.

Here Tommy is cutting the profile of the mandolin neck on the bandsaw.

With the "shooting -board" glued up, we gather together some old planes to revitalise and use with the shooting board to plane thin timber square.

The shooting board is just a jig for clamping thin wood so that the long plane can be slid (on it's side) to plane the edge nice and flat.

Fresh with the success of his first bird box, Keith starts to make some more.

Charlie has shown Ian how to make a wooden pen on the lathe and using some of the off-cuts from Tommy's Mandolin neck, Ian has made a lovely pen.

The farm cat (also called Charlie) takes a nap on Keith's chair, keeping out of the rain.

Bill voiced and interest in making some paddles and this means an introduction to the Drawknife.

Geoff inspects his handy work, these two new signs for Bede's World's (award winning) herb garden will improve the public information around the site.

All the members share the pride of seeing Geoff's signs, or Keith's bird boxes, or Ian's wooden pen, or Bill's paddle, or.... the list just goes on and on!

Keep up the good work folks.
